Purpose of the Job The Group Reporting Team is committed to providing robust financial information with meaningful insight and driving ongoing enhancements to financial reporting processes.
As part of the Group Reporting Team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and insightful consolidated reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Your role will involve collaboration with global finance teams, preparation of the multi-currency consolidation at month-end and year-end and supporting in the completion of the Group Annual Report.
As a technical accounting specialist, you will also produce technical accounting papers and support global finance teams in the application of FRS102 and Group accounting policies to complex accounting areas.
The role combines a requirement for strong technical accounting knowledge with good communication skills and an aptitude for complex computations.
The ability to demonstrate initiative, strong analytical skills, attention to detail and to prioritise effectively are also key to the role.
Collinson is a dynamic business, undergoing a period of significant transformation, and the role will support on related projects.
In particular, you will contribute towards the successful implementation of the Group's new consolidation software, involving contributing to the design and global roll-out.
Key Responsibilities Month-end reporting processes, including: Assisting in managing the timely submission of subsidiaries globally and performing high-level validation checks on submissions; Completing the Group multi-currency consolidation at month-end; Involvement in preparation of monthly Board Pack slides relating to consolidated primary statements for the Group.
Year-end reporting processes, including: Review and challenge of global subsidiary submissions to ensure compliance with FRS102 and Group accounting policies; Completion of the Group multi-currency consolidation; Preparation of specific consolidated disclosures and supporting analysis for inclusion in the FRS102 consolidated financial statements.
Technical accounting application and policies, including: Preparation of technical accounting papers on complex contracts and transactions; Assisting in updating the Group accounting policies to ensure alignment with FRS102; Providing application guidance to global finance teams for complex accounting areas and transactions.
Finance Transformation/Finance Projects, including: Support on design of new Group consolidation processes in Tagetik, associated month-end and year-end reporting processes and reporting outputs; Support on roll-out of Tagetik to global finance teams for revised monthly and year-end reporting processes; As Collinson is a dynamic business, and currently undergoing a period of significant transformation, the role will be involved in other ad-hoc finance projects as these arise.
Key skills and experience to be evidenced within your application include: The successful applicant will ideally have a recognised accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA or overseas equivalent) and demonstrable experience in year-end group consolidation processes and preparation of statutory accounts under FRS102.
