Who we are seeking We are now recruiting for a Graduate Supplier Quality Engineer to join the Sunseeker family in Poole.
As part of the growth and succession planning, the Quality department are looking to coach and mentor to be the next Supplier Quality Engineer.
Working with the procurement team under the direct management of the Supplier Development Engineer we aim to involve and expose the correct candidate to all aspects of manufacturing and functions across the business.
Working alongside the Procurement teams , Quality Department & Supplier Quality team the candidate will learn all aspects of Quality control and improvements and will be expected to work and collaborate within the internal business team environment The candidate's ultimate role will be to become the next Supplier quality engineer.
You will shadow different function groups whilst having the ability to learn and assist (where needed) the implementation of best practice cross the business and supply chain.
Example responsibilities include Get to work alongside the SQA/SDE in Perform on-site supplier visits to facilitate root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions of supplier quality issues.
Review supplier data and manufacturing processes, collaborate with both internal and external suppliers to identify process improvement.
Manage and coordinate supplier performance packs and relevant metrics ie DPPM, Supplier problem Log, Order book adherence, cost recovery and supplier warranty indicators.
Assist with continuous improvement activities both internally and at the supplier.
Assist with supplier evaluations and audits to support the approval process by assessing quality systems, manufacturing/technology capabilities Assist in new product launches to ensure that supplier parts meet specification, drawing and quality standards using such tools as APQP and PPAP.
To be considered you'll need Relevant manufacturing/engineering/Quality engineering degree preferred, or ONC/HNC , A Levels, BTec Diploma Level 3 or equivalent NVQ level 3 qualification.
Must have some experience in composites manufacturing/Assembly.
Knowledge of quality and business systems.
Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (but not essential) Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
(But not essential) Knowledge of ISO9001 & ISO14001.
(But not essential) Knowledge of measurement techniques, inspection methods and equipment.
Good Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings Some basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Good communication skills written and verbal.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Basic Understanding of cost and financial impacts.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance.
