Job Title: Graduate Structural Engineer Location: Manchester Industry: Construction Industry Salary: ( up to) Competitive About the Role: MJ Consulting Engineers (MJC) has an opening for a Graduate Structural Engineer at our Manchester office.
MJC is a specialist structural engineering firm known for its dedication and excellence in serving the events industry for over 25 years.
As a critical part of our team you will be working primarily on theatre buildings show productions and outdoor events as well as on the preservation and enhancement of Grade I and Grade II listed buildings.
With project costs up to 12m and the use of the latest design software the role offers an exciting opportunity to engage in impactful highvalue projects.
A competitive salary of up to 40k will be offered commensurate with the importance of this role within our company.

Responsibilities: Use the latest design software to create and manage structural designs.
Liaise with key clients and discuss design/technical solutions with team members and stakeholders.
Ensure projects are appropriately resourced delegating work to team members programming deliverables and monitoring progress.
Prepare calculations drawings details specifications and reports for a wide range of structures and materials Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent (Masters degree preferred).
Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment Use of industry design standards i.e.
DMRB; Manual for Streets; NJUG SSG etc.
Problem solver able to offer solutions to challenges Able to work and collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team Confident articulate collaborative & proactive Eagerness to learn and to develop your skills and career with training support Good time management and organisational skills to efficiently manage workload.
A good knowledge of the CDM regulations in addition to British standards and EU regulations.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel across the UK Eligibility to live and work in the UK and be able to demonstrate proof when requested.
