The Platform S&P Global's Enterprise Data Management (EDM) is a multi-award-winning platform that puts quality, audited data at the centre of customer's organizations. Our solutions build gold copy masters across all data types, delivering tangible data governance, risk management and compliance frameworks and rationalizing legacy architectures. The EDM platform is the central and established hub for all Financial Market transactions, securities, prices, rates, counterparty, and issuer data and now has a growing client base in other business sectors like Energy and Maritime and Trade. EDM empowers those who understand the data to manage the data, no matter the complexity, volume, or scope of the project.
About Us The Graduate Associate Consultant role is part of a professional services team based in Manchester working with clients globally primarily on implementation activities for the EDM product suite.
The team is coached and led by a senior member of the team, and are trained in using SQL Server, the EDM application, and in the informational needs of modern financial institutions. It is a dynamic role and provides a fantastic opportunity to build a solid career solving the data management issues of global top tier institutions.
Your Role A good mix of technical competency, business/data expertise and project management skills are required.
Develop a working level knowledge of the EDM software application.Operate in a consultative role supporting the configuration of the EDM Platform, per specifications, to meet agreed deliverables and deadlines.Testing the project deliverables ensuring they are in line with documented requirements.Track and manage issues that impact the delivery of EDM functionality.Handle internal and external requests for EDM packages.Identify, communicate, and document potential deviations to agreed project scope.Interacting with clients and colleagues to ensure accurate and timely information flows.What We Offer Cash incentive planOpportunity to travelOptions to work from home (will vary depending on client and assignment)Opportunity to work with world experts in the field of Enterprise Data Management and Financial Markets solutions and other verticalsStrong client base and broad product line offering a wide variety of projects and use-casesOpportunity to work within a growing team and expanding technology solutionsAbout You You are a delivery-focused individual. Key Qualifications and Skills: Recent graduate educated to degree-level or equivalent (preferably STEM subjects)Strong interest of Financial, Energy and/or Maritime and Trade Markets solutions and conceptsAppreciation of the Project Management and Project LifecycleSelf-starter with an attention to detail and ability to solve complex problems.Ambitious and looking to build on their university career in a fast-moving environmentUnderstanding of relational databases, data mining, data warehousing and data modelling conceptsSQL skills (or other relevant programming languages)Excellent oral, written and presentation skillsStrong team playerFlexible Working We pride ourselves on our agility and diversity, and we welcome requests to work flexibly.
