is now seeking to appoint a General Manager for the Balcas site in Enniskillen.
Balcas, Enniskillen is one of the largest sawmilling sites in the UK and Ireland, employing over 220 staff directly within its on-site operations.
The Enniskillen site has a history of continuous investment with several significant projects currently underway to increase capacity and automation.
It is an exciting time for a General Manager to join Balcas and lead the business through this next stage of growth.
Due to retirement, Glennon Brothers is recruiting a General Manager with a passion for engineering and proven expertise to lead the Balcas site in Enniskillen.
Role Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, this is an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to lead the Enniskillen site.
The General Manager carries full responsibility for all Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) activities.
The General Manager is expected to contribute towards the achievement of the company's strategic and operational targets and overall business aim, whilst ensuring reliability and consistency of operation through the development of people, plant and process.
The General Manager will be a champion for the site and ensure that the business is seen as a positive contributor to the local economy and community.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience: ·Minimum 5yrs experience in leading Operations teams in a senior leadership role.
·Proven track record in heavy industry operations and manufacturing.
·Proven brand leader.
·Manufacturing / Operations / Business degree or relevant equivalent qualification.
·Lean qualification or through experience.
