A global philanthropic foundation dedicated to advancing gender equality is seeking a meticulous and proactive General Ledger Accountant to join its Finance Team.
This is a crucial role where you will ensure financial integrity by maintaining accurate records, performing reconciliations, and supporting broader financial operations.
This exciting opportunity is ideal for a part-qualified accountant with experience in the charity sector who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about advancing social impact.
The role offers a competitive salary, excellent benefits, and a hybrid working arrangement, with three days per week required in Central London.
The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for: Maintaining financial records for two separate entities, including multi-currency bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Performing reconciliations, including bank, intercompany, grant payables, accruals, and prepayments.
Utilising NetSuite to manage and reconcile financial data effectively.
Supporting payment processing, including payment runs and supplier interactions, as well as covering for the Finance Assistant during absences.
Monitoring financial health and contributing to overall financial oversight.
Collaborating with teams across the foundation, building effective relationships, and ensuring smooth financial processes.
Contributing to financial analysis, identifying trends, and addressing potential issues proactively.
Providing ad hoc support to the Finance Team and ensuring seamless operation.
The ideal General Ledger Accountant will: Be part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) or studying towards a qualification, with solid experience in finance and accounting.
Have experience working within and a passion for the charity sector and global humanitarian issues.
Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
Be a proactive problem solver with a solutions-oriented mindset and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across multiple time zones and levels of the organisation.
