General Cleaning Operative

The General Cleaning Operative's main tasks are:The employee will be responsible for all basic cleaning on site, (shop floor only)Sweeping/washing of floors corridors/bays etc.Emptying of all rubbish bins/swarf binsPainting, maintaining factory floors wallsAssist the maintenance department in project works as and when requiredWork on his or her own initiative and ensure the individual keeps the area of responsibility to the standards required and set out by the companyEnsuring all equipment is kept clean and in good working order The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements: Educated to at least GCSE levelGood level of English both verbal and writtenIdeally have a good understanding of all aspects of general maintenance cleaning A clear understanding of Health & Safety obligations as well as environmental impactBasic computer skillsTeam playerGood communication skillsAbility to work and determine priorities using own initiativeFlexible in work approach, and someone who takes pride in their workGood problem solverAbility to operate / use power and non-power hand tools in a safe and compliant mannerAbility to work unsupervisedThe candidate will be required to work a double day shift Monday to Friday 06:00-14:00 and 13:55-21:55 rotatingCandidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestrictedMandatory Training will be requiredThe job role will require some liftingGood physical fitness for performing demanding tasks
