We are currently seeking a Management Accounts Assistant to work in the GB Materials Division of the Group, based in Derby.
You will provide critical financial administration support to a number of areas within the GB Materials business.
This involves quarries, asphalt plants, concrete plants as well as our specialist products.
This role is being offered on a hybrid basis, with a balance between office and home working.
Key Responsibilities Participation in Health & Safety awareness and support across the sites Assist in the production of month end reports Provide support to the Finance Business Partners in the provision of financial and KPI data Cost analysis by site throughout the month and period end ensuring costs are coded correctly Accounting data analysis by site throughout the month and period end Provision of production statistics and inventory movements and reconciliation Reconciliation of capital expenditure Production of post-month end reporting package and analysis To prepare balance sheet reconciliations First-line support for queries Provide holiday cover for the other Management Accounts Assistants To ensure financial data is accurate and complete and coded correctly To ensure balance sheet reconciliations are performed routinely and any differences are investigated and resolved Ad-hoc queries & other duties or tasks as requested by your line manager Skills, Knowledge & Expertise Must be able to demonstrate a high level of written and numerical literacy AAT qualification or part qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) is desirable and we will support ongoing development.
