Mondrian Alpha is collaborating with one of London's rapidly expanding Private Equity firms, which has successfully launched four funds since its establishment, focusing on mid-sized companies.
As part of their growth strategy, they are seeking to hire a Fund/Financial Controller to oversee the outsourced accounting functions and work closely with the investment team.
The firm operates with a lean structure, giving this role comprehensive exposure across all aspects of the fund, including reporting, portfolio monitoring, valuations, and more.
All reporting duties are outsourced to Cayman-based fund administrators, allowing the role to focus on portfolio monitoring, analysis, and project-based tasks.
Responsibilities will also include periodic investor reporting, preparing fund financial statements, and managing fund audits.
Additionally, the position involves overseeing corporate accounting and working with outsourced bookkeepers to produce management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
The role will report and partners with the Head of Finance.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA or equivalent) with 1-3 years of experience in Private Equity.
Strong system aptitude is essential, as the firm is highly data-driven and places a significant emphasis on automation.
Advanced Excel skills are required to build and manipulate investment and cash flow models.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential, as the role involves frequent interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.
The salary package offers up to £90,000, strong bonuses + carried interest with extensive benefits.
