Job summary The ICS Senior Programme Manager Long Term Planning Delivery will be responsible for the development and successful delivery of programmes that facilitate the achievement of national and local priorities.
The post holder will be responsible for the management and successful delivery of a significant portfolio of programmes aligned to the Long Term Plan on behalf of the system that includes Cardiovascular Disease, Diabetes, Respiratory and Specialised Commissioning.
The portfolio will change and alter over time, in line with the requirements of the system and national directives.
Partnership working and collaboration are at the heart of the role and key stakeholders will include Place based leaders, the Provider Collaborative, and partners within the Integrated Care System, in particular patients and unpaid carers.The Senior Programme Manager Long Term Planning Delivery will establish a clear overview of the portfolio and interdependencies through effective project and programme design, planning, delivery, and progress reporting.
The post holder will identify and lead opportunities preparing business cases and proposals as required.
The post will deputise on behalf of Director of Long Term Planning Delivery as and when requiredThe proposed interview date will be 4th December Main duties of the job The post holder will have overall responsibility for multiple programmes within their portfolio and be responsible for building and managing strategic relationships with stakeholder organisations.
The programmes will be of a wide ranging nature and will change significantly over time as the needs and requirements of the system change over time.
To lead on the oversight and coordination from design to delivery of a range of projects and programmes of work which promote and support key system priorities and objectives, transformation, and are aligned with the ICB/ICS's financial sustainability plan.
To be aware of interdependencies with other programmes in the system and support the resolution of any risks that have been identified and/or arisen.
To lead in ensuring effective quality assurance and overall integrity of the LTP programmes.
To ensure support to clinical and managerial leads as deemed appropriate.
To be responsible with project and programme leads for the high standard of programme delivery, including timeliness, achievement, and overall value.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in the NHS.
Knowledge & Experience Essential Broad range of senior management experience within the NHS and/or other elements of the Public Sector in a Programme Management environment Can demonstrate experience of and contribution to major change programmes Has experience of managing staff Has experience of engagement with experts with lived experience.
