We are now looking for a skilled French Polisher to join our team, ensuring that our hotels high standards are reflected in every detail.
The Role: We are seeking a talented and experienced French Polisher to maintain and restore the exquisite woodwork and furnishings throughout our hotel.
As a key member of our maintenance team, you will work to preserve the hotel's historic charm and luxurious ambiance by ensuring that all wood surfaces are finished to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities: Sand and re-polish wood flooring throughout the hotel, including all 159 bedrooms and suites Perform polishing, restoration, and maintenance of all wooden furniture, fixtures, and paneling in the hotel to maintain its luxurious appearance.
Carry out touch-ups and repairs on minor damages, scratches, and blemishes on wood surfaces, ensuring they are restored to their original condition.
Apply various finishing techniques, including staining, varnishing, and lacquering, to enhance the beauty and durability of woodwork.
Collaborate with other members of the maintenance team to coordinate work schedules and ensure minimal disruption to guest areas.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while using equipment, materials, and products.
Maintain an organized and clean workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are safely stored.
Inspect and assess the condition of wooden surfaces throughout the hotel to identify areas requiring attention and implement preventative maintenance measures.
About you: Proven experience as a French Polisher or in a similar role, preferably within a luxury hospitality or high-end residential setting.
Strong knowledge of wood types, finishes, and restoration techniques.
Exceptional attention to detail and a passion for craftsmanship, ensuring all work meets the hotels high standards.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while maintaining flexibility to respond to urgent tasks.
A proactive and solution-oriented approach to maintenance challenges.
Physical stamina and dexterity, as the role may involve working in tight spaces and lifting/moving heavy objects.
