Purpose of the Role: This interim role offers a unique opportunity to design and implement advanced financial models that will support strategic decision-making for our client.
Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the successful candidate will focus on creating robust, user-friendly models that adapt to the dynamic needs of the growing business.
This role provides excellent exposure to senior management and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
Key Duties: Design and build advanced financial models from scratch to meet evolving business needs.
Ensure models are structured, transparent, and user-friendly, with clear assumptions and drivers.
Collaborate with senior finance management to identify data and output requirements.
Automate processes to improve efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting.
Evaluate, enhance, and rebuild existing models to ensure flexibility and scalability.
Generate insightful analysis and model outputs for presentation to senior management.
Transfer modelling knowledge and best practices to the existing team to support their development.
Develop key models for monthly reporting, budgeting, stress testing, and scenario planning.
Experience Needed: Demonstrated expertise in financial modelling with advanced Excel skills.
Strong background in FP&A and a recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
Prior experience in the banking or financial services sector is highly desirable.
Proven ability to create and maintain complex financial models with excellent analytical and numeracy skills.
