What we are looking for: As a Forecast and Planning Analyst, you will manage and improve demand forecasts across all depots, focusing on sales trends and customer behaviour.
Your role is critical in ensuring that stock levels of finished goods align with market demand.
Key Responsibilities: Demand Forecasting: ?Maintain and update demand forecasts, using data from sales, customer orders, and market trends to ensure accurate stock planning.
?Continuously review short- to mid-term forecasts based on actual sales performance, making necessary adjustments to stock levels and production schedules.
?Collaborate with the sales and commercial teams to understand customer requirements and promotional activities that may impact demand.
Sales & Commercial Liaison: ?Work closely with sales account managers to ensure sufficient stock is available for new product launches, promotions, and key events.
?Monitor stock levels for menu changes and event-driven spikes to ensure sales teams have the necessary inventory to meet demand.
?Provide detailed insights and reports to sales teams, highlighting trends and opportunities for optimising stock levels based on commercial activities.
System Updates & Reporting: ?Update the ERP system with changes to demand, sales forecasts, and customer orders to ensure real-time accuracy across all departments.
?Develop and present bespoke reports on demand patterns and stock availability to senior management, helping drive data-based decision-making within the commercial teams.
Collaboration with Supply Chain & Production: ?Work closely with the planning and production teams to ensure stock levels and production plans align with updated demand forecasts.
?Coordinate stock movements across depots to ensure timely replenishment and reduce stock-outs, minimising disruptions to sales.
Process Improvement: ?Support the continuous improvement of forecasting methods by introducing new tools, techniques, and systems, ensuring better alignment with sales and market dynamics.
?Assist in implementing new systems or processes to streamline forecasting and stock planning activities.
Qualifications & Experience: ?Proven experience in demand planning, supply chain, or logistics with a strong focus on forecasting, ideally within a food industry or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
?Commercial or sales experience, with the ability to understand customer needs and market trends that drive demand fluctuations.
?Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate actionable insights to sales and supply chain teams.
?Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience using MRP/ERP systems to manage forecasts and inventory.
?Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively across departments, including sales, production, and supply chain.
?A proactive, problem-solving mindset with excellent attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
