Football Projects Coordinator

Details of the offer

Do you have a passion for making football more inclusive and creating more positive experiences of participation? Are you organised, able to multi-task and would relish the opportunity to work on various projects?
This football charity has a new opening for a special projects coordinator.
About the Client We are a Charity Football Foundation on a mission to improve the lives of 20,000 young people every week by 2028.
This is an ambitious growth plan and we need people with similar ambition to join us on our journey!
We work to support young people aged 4 to 18 through the provision of football activities, enabling them to live active lifestyles, and pursue their full potential.
Our team currently consists of 26 office-staff and a cohort of 60+ expert coaches.
Our Football Foundation aims to ensure that every child can take part in our programmes – regardless of their ability to pay or play.
We provide an experience and environment that is professional, competitive, and enjoyable for all players, coaches, and parents.
What is the Special ProjectOur Special Projects consist primarily of our Refugee and Asylum Seeker Programme and our Disability Football Programmes.
The key to these programmes is to use the power of football to improve lives and create more positive experiences of participation. We are very fortunate to be expanding the provision of our special projects and are now hiring a coordinator.
Following a pilot project that began during the summer of 2022 in response to the crises in Afghanistan and Ukraine, Our Football's Refugee Programme was expanded in March 2023.
We currently run 3 weekly sessions specifically for young refugees and asylum seekers with plans for significant expansion due to the high demand for sports provision.
The programme has two key objectives;to provide a safe and social space to improve skills, build confidence and foster friendships, and improve community cohesion.
Our Disability Football Programmes have been running since 2021, supporting over 100 young people in that time, and have plans for significant expansion.
Given the lack of accessible football provision for young people with disabilities in the capital, Bloomsbury Football is one of the only FA-registered B1 Centres in London, for young people who are either blind or partially sighted and has been a front-runner in terms of delivering regular pan-disability sessions.
