We are currently looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our head office team, based in Wimbledon Village (SW19 5BA).
You'll be joining us at an exciting time as we are embarking on a major growth project which will take our patented technology to commercial scale and secure relationships with some of the world's leading tyre companies, footwear brands and other rubber goods manufacturers.
As Finance Manager, you will work closely with the leadership team and report to the Head of Finance.
We are a small, close-knit team and are looking for someone who is a hands-on initiative taker.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic, organised self-starter who welcomes the challenges of working in a start-up environment, building relationships across the organisation, and making things happen.
From day one you'll be building and shaping our in-house finance function, optimising existing processes and procedures, expanding management reporting and forecasting processes and much more.
The role comes with ample growth potential into various finance areas as the company expands.
Key responsibilities: Own the month-end accounting process, incl.
Producing monthly consolidated management accounts, Preparing balance sheet reconciliations, Dealing with intercompany recharges, Filing group VAT returns Own all day-to-day financial accounting processes, incl.
Accounts Payable / Receivable Management, Weekly Payment Runs, Processing of Staff Expenses, Monthly Payroll Processing, Onboarding of New Joiners to Payroll, Workplace Pension Support the annual accounts preparation & audit process Support quarterly grant reporting obligations Manage the annual budget and forecasting process, incl.
business partnering with our R&D Centre and Operations team Build a positive working relationships across the organisation Provide support on ad hoc HR-related benefits and payroll topics Lead on ad hoc finance projects as required Proactively review and shape efficient finance processes across the organisation Build & lead part of the finance team Desired skills and qualifications: Passion for our vision and commitment to our values 5+ years relevant work experience Recognised accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent preferred Past experience in finance in line with described duties is essential Continuous improvement mindset and a willingness to challenge the status quo Strong interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships Experience with HR finance processes, incl.
