Job Purpose Reporting to the Head of Finance – Customer & Transformation, this role covers month end preparation, analysing and interpreting management information, and delivery of monthly project reporting.
This role is an integral part of the Commercial Finance team and will be focused on driving efficiencies into the Technology month end process and future budgeting / forecast cycles along with the creation of the framework to report and monitor project costs.
Key Responsibilities Responsibility for technology spend and target operating model tracking, supporting the relevant FBP and business teams to articulate actual spend and projected outturn.
Weekly and monthly divisional reporting of Technology spend, including the preparation of month end results and articulation of spend performance vs expectation.
Streamlining and potential automation of existing month end processes to increase efficiency in delivery of monthly reporting and variance analysis.
Creation of monthly project reporting in relation to project opex spend, including the set up of an E2E process for capturing costs and reporting to project managers and the customer proposition FBP to support overall project cost reporting.
Supporting delivery of the FY26 Budget for Technology related spend, highlighting opportunities and risks and ensuring the strategy is in line with overall business and individual divisional objectives.
Collaborative working with Technology & Digital FBP and Customer Proposition FBP to deliver required outcomes.
Ad hoc analysis and support for the Head of Finance – Customer & Transformation as required.
Key Skills/Experience Professional Qualification (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
A proven track record of high performance in a senior management accountant role.
Experience in SAP and ability to execute month end processes and reporting essential, including the interrogation of variances vs forecast.
Experience in project reporting preferred, including ability to classify spend between operating costs and capital expenditure.
Experience in setting up new E2E processes preferred.
An effective communicator with excellent presentation skills and gravitas; articulate and persuasive; able to build strong relationships through collaborative working and influence across Finance and wider business as necessary.
Dynamic and outcome-driven individual with high levels of energy, flexibility and commitment.
An ability to thrive in a fast-paced and pressurised environment.
Experience of cross-functional and matrix structured working environments.
