Field Service Engineers - South East, South West, Scotland Responsible for the commissioning, service and maintenance of a range of waste incineration, human cremation, and pet cremation equipment.
Installations can range from a simple, small scale incineration unit featuring diesel fueled package burners and relay logic control panel, to large scale fully automated systems utilising natural gas fueled burners, a range of electro-mechanical components, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC based control systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Carry out commissioning of equipment including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) and operator training.
Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance activities as defined by the equipment O&M manuals.
Respond to emergency callouts to fault find and carry out reactive maintenance activities to bring the installation back to full operation efficiently.
Carry out upgrade works as required to ensure installations remain in full operational condition and in line with current technology/legislation etc.
Liaise with stores department to ensure all equipment required for each particular job is available for the scheduled visit.
Complete all necessary documentation associated with service activities including but not limited to Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permits to Work.
Liaising with customers regarding complaints and ongoing issues, and raising associated non conformances, engineering change requests and improvement opportunities Assist with the generation, and ongoing development of departmental documentation such as service sheets, site spares lists etc.
in line with the companies policy of continuous improvement.
Ensure that all clients are actively informed of work progression, as required, communicate with clients to build relationships and ensure a quality of customer service Complete all documentation required to evidence the visit and liaise with Service Management to ensure that clients are appropriately charged for work undertaken including processing of expenses in a timely manner Ensure that company vehicle, tools and van stock are maintained as required Promote the sales of maintenance agreements, spares, upgrades and consumables Look for new sales opportunities and liaise with wider business to ensure we are positioned correctly to exploit such opportunities Due to the nature of some of the projects the applicant must have a flexible approach to work requirements and hours of work Additional duties as assigned Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Key Skills and Qualifications Ideally qualified to C&G, ONC, or HNC level Minimum 5 years experience of field service covering similar equipment.
(The three key disciplines being electrical, mechanical and combustion engineering.)
Gas Safe qualification a preference Electrical 18th Edition a preference Strong problem-solving ability strong interpersonal and organisational skills, able to communicate effectively via telephone or computer, so computer literacy is a vital asset.
Fluent in English to a very high standard and possess strong communication skills, as liaison with clients and colleagues is a large focus within the job.
Additional languages advantageous but not essential Experience in an ISO9001 compliant environment or equivalent an advantage CSCS card advantageous as is knowledge of H&S regulations.
Valid UK driving license NOTE This is a field based role in a company with installations across the globe.
The applicant therefore needs to be comfortable with the level of field-based work and have a full clean driving license.
Predominantly travel will cover the United Kingdom with potentially some overseas travel required.
