Farm Supervisor-Education A well-established prep school nestled in 45 acres of picturesque countryside is seeking an enthusiastic Farm Manager to oversee its working farm.
The farm, featuring cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, poultry, and horses, plays an integral part in the students' education.
This unique role combines hands-on farm management with teaching students about animal welfare, sustainability, and farm management.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily farm operations, including machinery, livestock care, and land maintenance Teach Rural Studies to students in Years 3-8 (no teaching experience required, just passion for farming and animals) Plan and manage farm production and finances, ensuring progress aligns with budgets Maintain the school's orchard and market garden Organize school farm events and ensure farm activities meet DEFRA and health regulations Work closely with the equestrian team on field maintenance and event preparation Requirements: Practical farm experience and strong technical knowledge Enthusiasm for working with children and sharing knowledge Understanding of government regulations, animal welfare, and health & safety standards The Package: Salary £30,000 25 Days Holiday This is a rare opportunity to blend farming expertise with education, in a beautiful rural setting.
