THE GTA IS RECRUITING AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR   The Gun Trade Association has been in existence for over 130 years.
Its role is to promote, protect and represent the UK Gun Trade.
Simon West OBE has been the Executive Director since 2018 and is now moving on to develop his own gunmaking interests.
The Executive Director leads the Association's work providing internal direction and external engagement.
Responsible to the GTA Council, the job involves analysis of factors relating to the well-being of the Gun Trade, then engagement with members, politicians, government officials, the police and shooting organisations for the benefit of the industry.
It is an interesting and varied job with many rewards.
The ideal candidate will have a fundamental interest in shooting matters, familiarity with firearms licensing law, organisational skills and be a competent influencer.
The GTA has its headquarters at Bisley Camp in Surrey where meetings, courses and social events take place.
The Executive Director travels regularly to London and across the UK, some overseas trips with normal working from home.
This employed post offers a negotiable salary (£60k+ depending on experience, plus expenses such as travel and accommodation), 25 days paid holiday per annum and the usual terms and conditions.
