Committed to quality service and customer satisfaction, we are expanding our team to bring in an experienced Groupage Transport Planner.
Role Overview The Groupage Transport Planner will be responsible for optimising groupage transport operations, coordinating shipments, and ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
This role demands strong attention to detail, experience in European transport planning, and a commitment to maintaining excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities * Plan and organise groupage transport routes across the UK and Europe.
* Maximise load efficiency and route optimisation to meet cost and time targets.
* Liaise with drivers, subcontractors, and third-party carriers to ensure timely deliveries.
* Monitor shipments and resolve issues or delays, providing timely updates to clients.
* Collaborate with the customer service and warehousing teams to coordinate inbound and outbound freight.
* Manage documentation and compliance, ensuring adherence to customs and regulatory requirements.
* Analyze route performance, suggesting and implementing improvements where necessary.
Requirements * Previous experience in groupage or European transport planning is essential.
* Strong understanding of transport regulations and compliance in the UK and Europe.
* Proficiency with transport management systems (TMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
* Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
