Job summary Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH) is seeking a Programme Support Officer to support their significant and exciting journey towards implementing and sharing an Electronic Patient Record (EPR) across the Acute Health Alliance constituent Trusts , Royal United Bath Hospital (RUH), Salisbury Foundation Trust (SFT) and Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (GWH), Swindon.The successful candidate will have demonstrable previous experience supporting large digital or change programmes or projects.The post holder will work as part of a busy and dynamic team in delivering an effective programme of work, supporting managers and staff with the EPR programme workstream and project activities.
Day to day the work will involve supporting the teams to ensure the portfolio of tasks and projects is planned and managed effectively using PRINCE2 methodology and documentation standards.The majority of the work will be undertaken remotely, but with a requirement to be work from GWH when necessary and potentially travel to other NHS sites when required.

Main duties of the job Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams across the Trusts the successful candidates will need excellent organisational skills, possess a high level of communication skills, both written and oral, and be motivated to help the teams achieve.The post holder will work under the guidance of the GWH EPR Programme Manager to provide programme and project support on a range of PMO tasks.
Support will be provided using standard PRINCE2 and other appropriate project management methodologies.The post holder will provide support in relevant programme management groups, be actively involved with the day-to-day delivery of the programme activities and will manage both programme and project-level documentation on behalf of the EPR programme.

Design and maintain a PMO configuration structure, using appropriate tools, processes and techniques, to ensure effective PMO management.
