Environment, Health And Safety Manager

Blue Projects is currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced HSE Manager for an upcoming project in the United Kingdom.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive health, safety, and environmental programs to ensure the well-being of personnel and compliance with regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities: Relocating to different parts of the UK for varying durations to accommodate project needs (mostly NW UK).
Develop, implement, and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with local regulations, industry standards, and company objectives.
Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective measures to mitigate health, safety, and environmental risks.
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, contractors, and subcontractors on health, safety, and environmental matters, promoting a strong safety culture and adherence to best practices.
Coordinate incident and accident investigations, analyzing root causes and implementing preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate closely with project stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and contractors, to ensure effective communication and coordination of health, safety, and environmental activities.
Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics, trends, and compliance status, providing regular updates to project management and senior leadership.
Conduct HSE training and awareness programs for personnel, ensuring understanding of policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
Professional certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ASP/CSP) is a must.
Proven experience in HSE management, preferably in industrial construction projects or similar settings.
Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, standards, and best practices.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Fluency in English.
