Duties will include the running of production machinery, responding to stoppage calls from the control room and completing planned OAC maintenance tasks.
(OAC - Operator Asset Care).
There will be a requirement to undergo specific training to safely complete the duties above.
This will require working whilst line operatives are on breaks & taking breaks at different times.
This is to enable the set-up or to carry out planned preventative maintenance activities, either on own initiative or in collaboration with site engineers.
Core Responsibilities Demonstrate ability to do maintenance strip down, identify defects & replace parts.
Proactive maintenance of machinery i.e.
replacement of belts and bands and fix any issues that might occur during the shift and inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
Identification of machine parts details form components & manuals to enable sourcing of replacement parts Keep records of approved and defective units or final products (incl OTIF).
Ability to show others machine operations, safety & maintenance competencies & outline common issues.
Delivery of planned maintenance SOP's as per the site PPM schedule.
Working towards Qualification/Authorised to mechanically strip down machine parts & rebuild (within 6 months) Working towards Qualification/Authorised to electrically disconnect & reconnect like for like (within 2yrs) Identification of down time issues Who You Are Previous experience gained within a similar role preferably in FMCG environment.
Mechanically minded with working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A confident and forward thinking team player.
Excellent attention to detail.
Flexibility and problem solving.
Ambitious and looking to progress in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of production procedures and adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g.
constant use of protective gear).
