Job summary The primary job purpose is to support the Associate Dean, Education Quality in the local development and implementation of the NHSE National Education Quality Framework by effectively managing the NHS Education Funding Agreement, contracts with education providers and associated resources.
The Thames Valley (TV) Education Quality Team is part of the NHS England South East Education Quality Team based in Oxford and works to ensure that patient safety and the quality of education and training are priorities for all work.
This role will lead the overall operational management, development, performance management and organisation of the local TV quality management function.
Main duties of the job To ensure the effective and robust management of and response to patient safety concerns that are reported to, or identified by, NHSE.
Providing the Post Graduate Dean, Local Director and other lead clinicians within TV with appropriate briefing on these issues and the investigations that have taken place at a local level.
Use performance information in order to discern trends across a large geographical area in order to inform quality improvement, to make recommendations for areas where quality management activity should be focused.
To write highly complex reports in a professional manner in order to update senior managers and senior stakeholders on the state of quality within healthcare education and to make recommendations to senior internal and external stakeholders regarding action to be taken in order to improve quality.
To work responsibly and professionally with the delegated authority as appropriate.
