Job DescriptionEducation, Children and Justice ServicesEarly Years PractitionerCraigroyston Primary SchoolSalary: £28, - £32, (pro rata for sessional)Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks sessional7:30 -15:45 Monday – Thursday & 8:00- 13:00 FridayWe are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Early Years Practitioner to join our ELC and P1 Team.We welcome applications from experienced Early Years Practitioners who will support our work to ensure learners at Craigroyston Primary and ELC develop the knowledge, skills and attributes they need to demonstrate the four capacities of successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors.The successful candidate will have experience of working in an ELC environment and will be willing to work flexibly in order to meet the needs of the service.
Experience of working in P1 is not essential but may be required as part of the role.
The successful candidate will be a team player who has experience of planning, facilitating and evaluating high quality learning experiences.
Confidence in using available tools to assess children's learning and identify next steps is essential.
The successful candidate will be a competent user of ICT and have excellent communication skills.Candidates will be expected to provide basic first aid and administer medication as appropriate.
A suitable qualification in first aid or a willingness to undertake any necessary training is essential.Our school, supported by AMEY, benefits from a diverse staff team with a range of experiences and interests.
