Pelton & Fellrose has over 9,900 patients, 3 GP Partners, 4 Salaried GP's plus a large clinical nursing team.The person would be responsible for adhering to COSHH guidelines to ensure the Practices are kept to a high standard at all times.
Main duties of the job To deliver a full cleaning service within the practice, at the set-down times, in line with current policies and procedures, ensuring a clean environment for patient care, in accordance with the NHS national Specification of Cleaning Standards.

Job description Job responsibilities Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure where applicable areas are: Vacuumed, Damp mopped, Damp Dusted, Glass and Mirrors cleaned, Tiled areas washed, Printed surfaces cleaned.Always using clean equipment, safely empty and subsequently clean clinical and general waste bins, ensuring waste is placed in the appropriate bins.A detailed Job Description will be provided.
Person Specification Experience Essential No experience necessary as full training will be given.
Desirable * Working in a healthcare environment * Working in a similar/domestic role previously * Experience of working with cleaning equipment * Working in a customer/patient focused role Qualifications Essential No formal qualifications are necessary as full training will be given.
Desirable City and Guilds Level 1 Cleaning and Support Services Any other relevant qualification Knowledge/Skills Essential * Understanding of what the role will entail * Understanding the use of cleaning equipment/activities * Effective communication skills both verbally and written to Level A2 of of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages * Able to make judgement and decisions on regular or reoccurring cleaning issues * Ability to operate the relevant equipment Desirable * Knowledge of NHS National Specification of Cleaning Standards, COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health), Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) * Knowledge of cleaning equipment and colour coding * Basic IT Skills
