We have some of the newest trains in the country and exciting plans to extend our services.

What You'll Do?
Provide outstanding customer service and assistance.
Ensure safe and timely train dispatch.
Provide helpful information and assistance to customers.
Prioritize the safety of customers, colleagues, and visitors.
Keep the station clean and secure.
Collaborate with teams to provide real-time information during disruptions.
Enhance customer security through your strong visibility within the station.
What We're Looking For?
Strong team player, able to work independently.
Excellent communication and basic numeracy skills.
Computer literate and comfortable using apps.
Location?
Being a depot, Gloucester is a hive of activity as we share the station building with traincrew.
Gloucester has hourly services to Swindon/London, Bristol and Cardiff and sees, not just GWR services, but also Cross Country and Transport for Wales.
The station is on the outskirts of Gloucester city centre and Kingsholm Rugby ground and Gloucester Royal Hospital are both within a 10 minute walk.
Gloucester Quays shopping Quarter and historic Docks are also just 20 minutes walk away .
Working pattern?
You will need to be able to work shifts including weekends and bank holidays.
Shifts start as early as 04:15hrs and some shifts can finish as late as 02:30hrs, therefore you must be able to travel to and from the station before and after public transport is available.
Additional Information?
This vacancy is to build a Talent Pool for Fixed Term and Permanent opportunities in the future.
Interviews for shortlisted candidates are tentatively scheduled for the week commencing 16 December 2024.
What to Expect?
After submitting your application, you'll complete an online assessment (recommended on a laptop/computer).
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a competency-based interview.
Successful applicants will need to pass a medical assessment, including a colour vision test and drug and alcohol screening, as well as a Basic DBS check.
Full training will be provided, including a 3-week training programme in Swindon.
