Job Description About our Product We're on a journey to bring Digital Product into the forefront of ASOS, and to achieve this, we are expanding our team of Product Managers and Product Designers.

As the Director of Product Design at ASOS, you will be instrumental in defining and driving customer-led design and product strategy across our award-winning platforms.
You will be passionate about delivering performing, user-centric products and developing the skills of the designers in your team.
Your responsibilities Shape the overall design strategy that aligns with ASOS's long-term business goals, ensuring our digital products lead the market in innovation and user experience.
Oversee the entire ASOS Product Design function, including user research, customer experience, and UI design across all digital platforms.
Champion customer-centric design thinking across the organization, ensuring that all product developments and enhancements are driven by real user needs and insights.
Set and lead the vision for the Product Design team, collaborating with Product Managers and all areas to define strategic roadmaps and drive initiatives.
Collaborate with executive leadership to define and prioritize strategic initiatives that align with ASOS's vision and growth objectives.
Collaborate closely with the product management and development teams to ensure seamless integration of design direction and new product development.
Identify resource gaps and skill opportunities, working with ASOS Talent Managers to expand the team and recruit world-class talent.
Mentor and develop future design leaders within ASOS, building a pipeline of talent that will sustain the company's design excellence and strategic goals.
Provide hands-on expertise with key products, ensuring best-in-class user experience.
Act as a design thought leader, driving innovation and promoting a design culture within and outside of ASOS.
Foster an environment of diversity, transparency, and trust, empowering your team to share ideas, be challenged, and reach their full potential.
Continuously refine and enhance design processes, establish new ones, and evolve our global design and accessibility standards.
Qualifications What you will need to bring A top-tier design thinker with a successful track record as a Design Leader, ideally in ecommerce-driven, user-centric products.
Extensive experience leading, recruiting, and developing a team of designers with varying levels of ability.
A deep understanding of customer-led product design, an opportunity and solution-based mindset, and a curiosity for innovation.
A portfolio demonstrating excellent customer-led product and experience design case studies, backed by customer data and user research.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design vision and execute product strategies to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Inspirational leadership that advocates for team development and is driven by helping others reach their potential.
