The roleWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced pharmacist to fulfil the vital role of Director of Pharmacy.
This position plays a pivotal role in providing expert advice and support to the Board, its committees, its Health & Social Care Partnerships, and to health and social care professionals to facilitate informed decision-making.
The successful candidate will undertake the responsibilities of the Chief Pharmacist for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and will be the Board's Accountable Officer – Controlled Drugs.The Director of Pharmacy will assume responsibility for both the strategic and operational planning and leadership of pharmacy services, collaborating across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and its Health and Social Care Partnerships to ensure the delivery of agreed standards of pharmaceutical care, maintaining safety, effectiveness, and resource and service efficiency.

About youReporting to and working closely with the Board's Medical Director the successful candidate will provide strategic leadership for Pharmacy services across NHSGGC.
Key to this will be a demonstrable track record of success in operational and strategic management of pharmaceutical care services in a multidisciplinary setting with the ability to develop a strong, patient focussed culture which encourages initiative, individual and team responsibility and open communication.
This role calls for a dynamic and inspirational leader with a proven ability to lead strategically and be able to find solutions to complex challenges.
