The role of Budget Analyst resides within Central Support Services (CSS) and is responsible for the processing of all monthly payment applications submitted by the NAMS and RAMS Industry Partners.
Ensuring all DIO processes and procedures are followed the Budget Analyst will work alongside DIO Finance and Commercial to scrutinise and verify the applications before raising the requisitions within the MOD system Contracting Purchasing and Finance (CP&F).
The Budget Analyst role will also include but is not limited to: Processing Billable Works Payment Applications: Using IMS complete all required checks of Billable Works Payment Applications that the Industry Partners have applied for that month.
Liaise with Regional Teams to ensure all payments that have been applied for are at Invoice Requested in the Infrastructure Management System (IMS) and can progress through to payment.
Submit completed Billable Works Application to DIO Commercial within the agreed timeframe allowing enough time for DIO Commercial to issue a Payless Notice if required.
Raising requisitions on CP&F: Raise all requisitions within CP&F for Core Payments and any other adhoc requisitions when required.
Receipt Purchase Orders when available in CP&F and provide all the required details to the relevant person.
Using CP&F investigate and resolve any Purchase Orders that may have become stuck and have not progressed through to payment.
Assisting Regional Teams : Offer advice and guidance to the Regional Teams regarding funding within IMS to allow them to progress work tasks to Invoice Requested.
Provide Budgetary Information: Produce reports for the Head of CSS using IMS to aid in budgetary planning and future expenditure.
Adhoc Responsibilities: Deputise for the Programme Manager during periods of leave.
This may include producing the monthly Forecast, resolving payment issues for the Industry Partners and attend meetings on their behalf.
The Budget Analyst has Line Management responsibility of an Admin Officer.
Person specification Essential Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Particularly Microsoft Excel.
Experience in analysing and extracting relevant data.
Proficiency in generating reports from fundamental data.
Great communication skills.
