Main duties of the jobWe are pleased to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced highly specialist practitioner psychologist to join our Diabetes Psychiatry and Psychology Service (DPPS) as part of the adult diabetes team at King's College Hospital. The successful candidate will provide specialist psychological screening, assessment and treatment to patients with type 1 / complex type 2 diabetes and associated psychological difficulties and become a valuable source of psychological expertise for the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
Person specificationQualifications, Knowledge and ExperienceEntry-level qualification in Applied Psychology (professional Doctorate, or combination of MSc plus PG Diploma level additional)Registered with the HCPC as Practitioner Psychologist, and evidence of continuing professional development as required by the HCPC.Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients with a range of complex psychological and physical health needs.Experience in the psychological management of diabetes.IMPORTANT Check your email account regularly as this is how we will communicate with you.All staff have a responsibility for safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and for ensuring they are aware of the specific duties relating to their role.
