Design & Technology Teacher Fareham September 2025 Full time An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Fareham.
This full-time position starts in September 2025 and welcomes both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are due to qualify in summer 2025.
ECTs will benefit from a tailored support package, including mentoring and professional development opportunities designed to help you refine your teaching skills and build confidence in your new role.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver a Dynamic Curriculum: Plan and teach engaging and purposeful Design & Technology lessons aligned with the school's thoughtfully sequenced curriculum, adapting content to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
Inspire Practical Skills: Encourage creativity and innovation by facilitating hands-on projects and activities that balance theoretical principles with practical application.
Monitor and Support Progress: Assess, track, and review student performance, offering constructive feedback to guide their academic and personal development.
Create an Inclusive Environment: Establish a positive and supportive classroom where all students feel valued, motivated, and empowered to succeed.
Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with colleagues in the Design & Technology department to share resources, refine teaching methods, and ensure consistent delivery across Key Stages.
Key Requirements: Qualifications: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in a relevant subject area such as Design & Technology or a related field.
Experience: Confident in delivering Design & Technology lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to engage students and collaborate effectively with staff.
Adaptability: Ability to tailor lessons to accommodate varying abilities and learning styles.
Commitment: A passion for fostering creativity and innovation in students.
