Professional Technical are working with a leading consumer electronics manufacturer in Lancashire and we are seeking an experienced Design Manager who possesses extensive experience and skills within technical design processes.
You will require proven experience in consumer electronics or electro-mechanical industry.
Considering candidates with a technical background and some experience in support and leadership e.g.
Principal or Lead Engineer looking for their next step up.

Job Profile of the Design Manager : As a Design Manager, you will have the opportunity to manage and influence the end-to-end design process of products and have the capability to lead from the front by making positive improvements and developments whilst growing a diverse technical team.
You will be responsible for the following: Working as a technical lead and dealing directly with customers and suppliers to ensure that all technical, commercial and company needs are being catered to Regular product development reviews Managing all aspects of product development and ensuring that all projects are meeting all specifications and are ran on-time and to budget Taking charge of all design and manufacturing processes Direct management of the technical team and able to support general capacity and project planning Job Requirements of the Design Manager : As a Design Manager, you will be required to have the following to be considered: Degree qualified in relevant engineering: Mechanical, Electronics and/or Electro-Mechanical Extensive experience in consumer electronics and/or electro-mechanical industries Worked in mentioned industries as a Lead, Principal and/or Senior Engineer Knowledge and experience of in risk analysis and regulatory standards Experience in full design life-cycle in new and existing product development Company Benefits : In exchange for the successful candidate, our client offer an attractive benefits package which includes: Competitive salary 32 days holiday inclusive of Bank Holidays (increased with time-served) Flexible working Full training and career development Profit share scheme If you feel you meet our clients' requirements and would like to be considered for this position, please click the ' apply ' button below.
