Design Engineer

Company Description McCauley Trailers Ltd, located in Toome, is Northern Ireland's longest established trailer producer, specializing in agricultural and commercial trailers for plant, machinery equipment, and transportation.
With a dedicated in-house design team, we customize trailers to meet individual requirements and work closely with customers and partners for tailored solutions.
Having recently opened an additional 22,000 sq ft factory, we are in a period of large company growth and as such require additional design engineers to join our team.
Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Design Engineer at McCauley Trailers Ltd.
The Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and optimizing trailers, utilizing skills in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer-Aided Design using SOLIDWORKS and Product Design.
The role involves collaborating with the design team to create innovative and efficient trailer solutions.
Qualifications Undergraduate degree 2:1 or above in a relevant discipline (or equivalent)  Previous experience with Solid works package Experience in heavy engineering sector (plus 3 years) Trailer knowledge would be desirable Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities Strong attention to detail and precision in design work Knowledge of cutting, welding, fab process
