The Team: The AG Derivatives practice is part of the firms Structured Finance & Securitisation team, led by the renowned Rachel Kelly.
With over 30 years of experience, the team has established itself as a leader in the field since joining AG in April 2020.
Collaboration is at the heart of our practice, working closely with teams across Financial Services Transactions, Financial Regulation & Compliance, and Insurance.

Job description: Role Overview: The appointed Derivatives Lawyer will engage in a wide array of derivatives instructions, encompassing finance-linked hedging, credit derivatives, equity, commodities, FX, and collateral.
This includes variation margin and initial margin projects, as well as bespoke arrangements supporting longevity insurance/reinsurance transactions.
The successful candidate will negotiate critical trading documents, such as ISDA Master Agreements and GMRAs, and provide regulatory advice in relation to EMIR, MiFID, and SFTR.
This role comes at a time of significant growth for the practice, highlighted by recent panel appointments and new instructions.
Key Responsibilities: The role encompasses a broad spectrum of responsibilities, from negotiating trading documentation to advising on regulatory compliance and engaging in synthetic securitisation transactions.
The successful candidate will serve as a primary contact for clients on discrete matters, offering a unique opportunity to shape the practices future direction.
The Managing Associate/ Associate will be required to engage directly with clients and may be the primary day-to-day contact for discrete matters.
Required profile: Candidate Profile: We are looking for a candidate with: A minimum of 3+ years PQE in a derivatives practice or in-house role within the financial sector.
Strong academic credentials.
Comprehensive experience and technical knowledge in derivatives, covering both transactional and regulatory aspects.
