Key Responsibilities: Support the Registered Manager in ensuring high-quality care and safeguarding for children in a dual-registration home, maximising the life chances of Looked After Children.
Assist the Registered Manager in the daily management of two dual-registered homes, ensuring high standards of care, safety, and security and i mplementing recommendations from Ofsted Inspections and Regulation 44 visits, reporting to the Group Operations Director when required.
Contribute to the Care Planning process for children in our care by: Attending and preparing for children's conferences, reviews, planning meetings, and core group sessions.
Ensuring accurate and timely maintenance of children's records.
Completing delegated tasks from the Care Planning process to a high standard.
Maintain all records according to company policies, regulations, and statutory requirements.
Uphold strict confidentiality regarding all duties and information encountered.
Participate in supervision sessions and appraisal processes.
Work with the management team to prepare and implement a rota system that ensures the safety, security, and care of the children in your care.
Perform additional duties as required by the service needs or as directed by the Registered Manager or Group Operations Director.
What We're Looking For: Must hold a Level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent.
A qualification such as CQSW/DipSW/NVQ 4 in Care or Management, Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People), or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is desirable but not essential.
Must have at least one year of management experience and two years in a children's residential setting or similar residential services.
Demonstrable knowledge and commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Must possess a full UK driving licence.
An enhanced DBS certificate will be required upon appointment.
