I am working with a rapidly expanding mid-tier accountancy practice based in London, highly regarded for delivering exceptional audit, tax, and advisory services to a diverse clientele, in their search for an experienced professional to join them as Deputy Head of Audit to take on a leadership role within their audit department.
As Deputy Head of Audit, you will work closely with the Head of Audit to oversee audit engagements, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and drive the growth and development of the audit practice.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Head of Audit in managing day-to-day operations, including staffing and resource allocation.Lead and manage audit engagements, ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Review audit files, financial statements, and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with auditing standards.Provide technical guidance and support to audit teams on complex accounting and auditing matters.Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional client service and acting as a trusted advisor.Identify opportunities for business development and contribute to strategic initiatives.Mentor and develop audit staff to promote their professional growth and success.Collaborate with firm leadership to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the audit department. Qualifications/Experience Required:
Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with Responsible Individual (RI) status.Proven track record of successfully leading and managing audit engagements.Thorough understanding of auditing standards, regulatory requirements, and accounting principles.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and pursue business opportunities.If you are interested in hearing more about this opportunity, please get in touch with Jamie Palmer via ****** for further information.
