Job summary This role is only open to applicants that currently work within an NHS Trust within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (HIOW ICS).
This role sits within the Trust's Corporate Affairs team and acts as a Deputy Company Secretary to the Trust's Associate Director of Corporate Affairs/Company Secretary.
The postholder is responsible for supporting the corporate governance functions of the trust, including organising the senior meetings of the trust, ensuring records are maintained and managing the corporate governance systems and processes.
The postholder will provide a professional and confidential business support function to the Associate Director of Corporate Affairs/Company Secretary.
The post holder is required to work under their own authority and initiative, planning and prioritising their own time to ensure that deadlines are met.
The post holder must be able to embrace working in a dynamic and demanding office environment.

Person Specification Training and Qualifications Essential Master's degree qualification or equivalent experience Corporate Governance Qualification or equivalent experience Desirable Chartered Secretary or equivalent experience; Advance Certificate in Healthcare Governance.
Experience and Knowledge Essential Experience in a Company Secretariat office; Experience of providing administrative support to meetings; Experience of establishing and maintaining efficient systems; Diary management and co-ordinating meetings and events; Experience of producing accurate and timely meeting minutes.
Desirable Understanding of working in the NHS and knowledge of the political environment in which the Trust operates; Excellent IT skills.
Skills and Abilities Essential Effective organisational skills and ability to manage time and prioritise; Attention to detail and high level of accuracy; Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; Excellent planning skills; Professional and sensitive approach; Flexibility in working hours and site.
Desirable Ability to present papers at large meetings, including meetings attended by members of the public.
