Data & Solutions Architect - Manager / Senior Manager

Details of the offer

Data & Solutions Architect - Manager / Senior Manager About Baringa:
We set out to build the world's most trusted consulting firm – creating lasting impact for clients and pioneering a positive, people-first way of working. We work with everyone from FTSE 100 names to bright new start-ups, in every sector.

You'll find us collaborating shoulder-to-shoulder with our clients, from the big picture right down to the detail: helping them define their strategy, deliver complex change, spot the right commercial opportunities, manage risk, or bring their purpose and sustainability goals to life. Our clients love how we get to know what makes their organisations tick – slotting seamlessly into their teams and being proudly geeky about solving their challenges.

As a Certified B Corporation, we've proven that we've built social and environmental good into every bit of what we do.

We have hubs in Europe, the US, Asia and Australia, and we work all around the world - from a wind farm in Wyoming to a boardroom in Berlin. Find us wherever there's a challenge to be tackled and an impact to be made.

Our Data, AI, Solutions & Engineering (DAISE) practice is looking for an experienced Solution and Platform Architect to join the team as a Manager or Senior Manager.

In DAISE, we are focused on delivering value-adding, sustainable data capabilities, aligned to our client's specific needs. This expertise is applied across clients in all of our industry market sectors (Financial Services, Products & Services, Energy & Resources, Pharmaceutical & Lifesciences and Government).

What you will be doing:
You will be using your experience to help our clients solve their most important data challenges, through designing and building cloud-based or hybrid solutions. You would also be responsible for supporting the growth of our team, helping them to build the skills they need to solve our client's challenges. Example solutions include:

Translating business requirements (both functional and non-functional) into solutions, ensuring compliance with the organisations strategy, policies, and standards and in some cases, help customers to define new policies, principles and standards. Architecting data platforms that utilise cloud services for storing, processing, and analysing large data volumes to enable digital transformation. Integrating BI tools to provide actionable insights to stakeholders. Designing modern applications that leverage cloud-native services such as serverless computing or microservices architecture. Helping clients to identify risks and mitigations for their complex data programmes, as well as transition to modern cloud-based infrastructures by leveraging related architecture patterns (e.g., APIs, events) for automatic scaling and efficient resource utilisation. Designing architectures that distribute workloads across multiple cloud providers while ensuring interoperability. Your skills and experience:
We are seeking a cloud solution architect with a growth mindset, who is excited by empowering decision making with cloud solutions leveraging data, and keen to take an active part in the growth of the company. We're looking for individuals who can both advise our clients and lead the architecting and hands-on technical delivery of complex solutions. We expect you have experience in some, but not necessarily all, of the below:

Solution Design & Architecture: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand requirements and goals. Design and architect cloud-based solutions that align with clients' needs, ensuring scalability, performance and security in-line with well-architected framework principles. Develop solution architecture diagrams, technical specifications, and documentation (high-level and low-level designs) for proposed solutions, present to clients, and address questions and concerns. Cloud Expertise: Be up to date with latest cloud services and best practices from major cloud providers and be certified by AWS, Microsoft, Google as a Platform / Solution Architect. Recommend appropriate cloud services and components for specific use cases, considering factors such as compute, storage, databases, networking, and security. Advise clients on Cloud / IT strategy as well as best use of cloud architecture and SaaS solutions, with views on how to drive cost, security and performance optimisation for cloud solutions. Knowledge of different technology stacks, including common legacy and modern stacks. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams during implementation. Review technical designs, code and configurations to ensure they align with proposed architecture. Act as a liaison between technical teams and clients, explaining complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment, scaling and management of cloud applications and implement Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) approaches for efficient software delivery. Training & Mentoring: Train and mentor junior team members on cloud technologies and best practices. Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to enhance technical expertise in the team. Troubleshoot technical issues / challenges that arise during solution development. What a career at Baringa will give you: Putting People First.
Baringa is a People First company and wellbeing is at the forefront of our culture. We recognise the importance of work-life balance and flexible working and provide our staff amazing benefits. Some of these benefits include:

Generous Annual Leave Policy: We provide our employees with 5 weeks of annual leave, fully available at the start of each year. In addition to this, we have introduced our 5-Year Recharge benefit which allows all employees an additional 2 weeks of paid leave after 5 years continuous service. Flexible Working: We know that the 'ideal' work-life balance will vary from person to person and change at different stages of our working lives. To accommodate this, we have implemented a hybrid working policy and introduced more flexibility around taking unpaid leave. Corporate Responsibility Days: Our world is important to us, so all our employees get 3 every year to help social and environmental causes and increase our impact on the communities that mean the most to us. Wellbeing Fund: We want to encourage all employees to take charge and prioritise their own wellbeing. We've introduced our annual People Fund to support this by offering every individual a fund to support and manage their wellbeing through an activity of their choice. Career Progression: We have quarterly rather than annual promotion reviews. We don't have any quotas: if you're ready and delivering at the right level, you'll get that promotion. Profit Share Scheme: All employees participate in the Baringa Group Profit Share Scheme so everyone has a stake in the company's success. Diversity and Inclusion.
We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. We believe that creating an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging is central to our culture and that diversity is paramount to driving creativity, innovation, and value for our clients and for our people.

An award-winning workplace.
You can be a part of our 'Great Place to Work' – with our commitment to women and well-being in the workplace for all.
