Data Engineer – Azure, PowerBI Location: Milton Keynes (Hybrid) Department: Technology & Data Services £60,000 + Benefits About the Role: We are undergoing a period of transformation where data plays a pivotal role in shaping our success.
As a Data Engineer , you will design, build, and maintain robust data infrastructure to enable scalable data collection, storage, and processing.
Your role will involve developing and optimizing data pipelines, ensuring data is clean, reliable, and accessible for analysis, and supporting advanced analytics initiatives to drive business intelligence and objectives.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support analytics and business intelligence.
Oversee and enhance existing Power BI models , ensuring accuracy and relevance for stakeholders.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and clarify data requirements, aligning with business goals.
Develop and maintain data warehouses, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and performance.
Implement robust data validation, monitoring, and governance practices to ensure data quality and security.
Conduct ad-hoc data analysis to deliver actionable insights and support decision-making.
What We're Looking For: Education: Degree or equivalent qualifications in technology or data.
Experience: 5+ years in data analysis, SQL development, or data engineering.
Strong expertise in database architecture, design, and advanced SQL skills.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft SSRS, SSIS, Power BI, MySQL, SQL Server, REST APIs , and Azure Data Factory .
Core technologies: Azure, Power BI, .NET backend.
