Building a sustainable tomorrow BAM Nuttall has an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to support the development, optimisation, and maintenance of data within the Kilsyth, Scotland office.
As a Data Analyst, you will design data modelling processes, analyse the data, and share insights with peers.
The Data Analyst shall work closely with assigned business stakeholders to understand their goals and determine how data can be used to achieve those goals.
The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide data-driven insights, ensuring the organisation can meet its strategic objectives.
Your work environment This role will be based from our office in Kilsyth, Scotland with an opportunity for hybrid working.
We would also be willing to consider candidates within the North and North-East Scotland region.

Your mission You will be responsible for the following: Identifying and mapping relevant data sources for business needs Collecting structured and unstructured data Sourcing missing data Organising data into usable formats Building predictive models Building machine learning algorithms Enhancing the data collection process Processing, cleansing & verifying of data Analysing data for trends and patterns and to find answers to business questions Setting up data infrastructure Develop, implement and maintain databases Assess quality of data and design improvement strategies Generating information and insights from data sets and identifying trends and patterns Preparing reports for executive and project teams Create visualisations of data Responsibility for ensuring that BAM Nuttall is compliant with all legislation and BAM policies / procedures Supporting people engagement in data analytics by creating an environment that embraces a culture of learning, growth and development through performance, inclusion, safety, and wellbeing Supporting the development of data analytics to successfully achieve Business Unit, team and individual goals and objectives to achieve and exceed the service delivery requirements Create and maintain effective individual and team working relationships with the Business Unit Management Teams, our key clients and their representatives Understand existing customer relationships and their requirements and developing strategies to ensure they are being met Who are we looking for?
At least of 3 years' experience in a similar role Experience in data modelling process Experience in creating algorithms Experience in creating predictive models Experience in analysing data for insights Experience using Power BI Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders Excellent organisational and time-management skills Outstanding communication and presentation skills Excellent interpersonal skills Expert problem-solving skills A high degree of energy and self-motivation Excellent relationship building and communication skills, capable of consulting and collaborating with key players and teams at all levels within the business Ability to multi-task and provide focus, direction and solutions where required Ability to understand and work to the BAM values Microsoft Azure experience desirable.
