Contract: Fixed Term until 30 September 2025, working 35 hours per week (Arts Council also recognises the benefit of flexible working as a valued part of the way we work, and welcome applications from individuals who require flexibility) Salary: £36,987 per annum plus benefits including a final salary pension scheme, generous annual leave, and flexible and hybrid working.
Location: Leeds, Manchester or Newcastle with frequent travel to other ACE offices.
(The role will be based at the office base listed; however, we are operating a hybrid way of working and support our staff to make use of remote working options when combined with regular on-site contact days with other members of the team, normally 1-2 days a week) This role is an exciting opportunity to be part of the dynamic team that is developing a new and experimental national programme of support called the Cultural Education Network.
This new national offer will share advice and best practice, create peer learning opportunities, and foster creative and cultural partnerships.
The goal is to build the confidence, skills and capabilities of teachers and cultural educators in developing cultural offers for children and young people.
The programme will offer events and webinars, networking and peer learning opportunities, resources and 1:1 support for teachers and cultural educators.
As one of our new Cultural Education Specialist roles, you will be joining the team at an integral point in the network's development.
You will have the opportunity to help forge the direction this role takes, taking a data-driven approach through research and co-creation work and collaborating closely with other team members.
In a typical week, you will be: Facilitating webinars & in-person events Delivering 1:1 online support sessions Developing CPD opportunities and resources for teachers and cultural educators Collaborating with colleagues, teachers, and educators from the arts and culture sector to continually develop the Cultural Education Network Working closely with our partners across England to ensure our offer complements others We are looking for approachable, proactive, empathetic and collaborative team-players to help us grow this new initiative.
To succeed in this role, you will be creative and inquisitive with an appetite for building knowledge and expertise beyond your area of specialism, always contributing to the bigger picture and using evidence-led approaches.
