Team GB is the public-facing brand of the BOA and with over 4.3m followers across its channels has a highly engaged and passionate audience.
With the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games on the horizon and so close to home, the BOA is continuing on its exciting new strategic path to continually refresh its brand, invest in data and generate new forms of content to grow our audiences and further engage the nation in support of our team, sports and athletes.
Given the nation's love for the brand, engagement in our communications is high and the role provides the opportunity to make a real difference through capitalising on that engagement to drive action from fans.
About the role With just over one year to go to the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games, and with our plans for Los Angeles 2028 developing apace, we continue to grow and manage our fan and athlete data.
We are looking to recruit a CRM and Data Executive to support one of the BOA's major strategic priorities.
Putting data at the heart of the organisation is a key aim of the BOA as it looks to continue developing and enhancing its data strategy going forwards.
Our focus at Team GB is on developing personalised, targeted and meaningful relationships with our fans and athletes.
As part of the data and digital product team, this role will play a crucial part in the implementation and delivery of the Team GB data strategy across the next Olympic cycle, including Milano Cortina 2026 and the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
In practice this will entail creating engaging emails via Salesforce and app communications that are insight-driven and fan focused, maintaining data health, and analysing data to help make key data-driven business decisions.
The role will also require close working relationships with strategic partners, such as Salesforce and Deloitte.
We are looking for an individual who will demonstrate a determination to succeed, and will bring their expertise in Salesforce, data analysis and CRM, in order to contribute to the objective of bringing data to the heart of the business.
Key Responsibilities: Work with the Data Strategy Lead, Marketing Strategist and Website Manager to create and deliver fan engagement initiatives across our digital products (email, website and app) with the aim of database growth and enhancement.
This will entail: Data management : act as a data custodian, ensuring consistent best quality fan data and relevant and timely dissemination to the rest of the business as appropriate.
Be the go-to person for data insights.
Data analysis: Use insights and data to drive continuous optimisation across communications to fans, measuring performance and reporting to key stakeholders, with the aim to understand, grow and enrich the database.
Reporting: Generate insights reports based upon engagement metrics within Salesforce to understand the performance of fan activity and customer journeys.
Email creation & copywriting: create and design engaging email content using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, as well as landing pages to bring the Team GB brand to life and maximise fan engagement opportunities across our targeted audiences.
This includes designing emails (via Marketing Cloud and using HTML), copywriting for emails and competitions.
Salesforce: Support the day-to-day implementation of the BOA's data strategy, with specific focus on the adoption and administration of Salesforce products.
Additionally, support the upskilling of colleagues to ensure take-up and understanding of the CRM product, in this case Salesforce, across all areas of the business.
Relationship building: work with the team to create first-class relationships with our sporting and commercial partners to enhance our audience offering through marketing incentives such as tickets, merchandise, events and opportunities.
Essential skills and experience Previous experience in a CRM role (2-4 years) Experience in using Salesforce products, especially Marketing Cloud, Journey Builder and Sales Cloud.
Experience in data management, including segmentation, customer data platforms (salesforce or equivalent) and handling datasets for marketing personalization.
Skilled in HTML with demonstrable experience.
Experience of data projects, especially data quality, data analysis and creating reports and dashboards Competent at using advanced Microsoft Excel features Copywriting skills - great written English.
A creative eye – to design content for emails, landing pages and more.
Self-motivated and able to work under deadline pressure and manage multiple work streams Strong interpersonal skills Other desirable skills A passion for sport and understanding of latest CRM and data trends in the industry.
Up-to-date Marketing Cloud certifications including completion of the Marketing Cloud modules (e.g., Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio) Experience working with digital agencies for digital products integration Knowledge of data and digital legal frameworks including GDPR, PECR and DPA 2018 Experience with Tableau and/or Power BI Experience with Python Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
What we offer Salary: £35K - £38K + performance related bonus.
22 days of annual leave in increasing to 25 days after two years in the role Additional time off over the festive season Possibility to work 2 weeks a year remotely from anywhere (subject to time zone being appropriate) Company-wide performance-related bonus.
