An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a Trainee Domestic Appliance Engineer to join the growing team at Crawfords Appliances Ltd.
Throughout your traineeship you will gain City and Guilds Assured certification in the repair of Washing Machines & Tumble Dryers, Dishwashers, Refrigeration, Microwaves and Electric Cooking.
As the ideal Trainee Domestic Appliance Engineer you will have a can-do attitude and an aptitude for all things electrical and mechanical.
You will need to be: Mechanically/electrically minded Confident in using hand tools Have a keen interest in repairs and/or workings of appliances/ devices/ machinery/ Cars/motorbikes/DIY Proficient in using technology - i.e.
tablets/mobile phones/Microsoft packages Located within the BS postcode area The role is field based and will involve working in customers' homes where you will meet a variety of people from all walks of life so excellent interpersonal skills are a must.
You will also need to be: Smart and presentable Friendly and helpful Trustworthy and reliable Team Player Flexible to working hours Articulate and a good communicator Good with English (verbally and written) Working within an ever-growing industry, no two days will ever be the same!
The ideal candidate will be someone ready for an exciting new challenge and eager to learn a new skillset in a varied, fast paced and dynamic role.
You'll be provided with all the latest technology and tools you'll need to carry out your role; from a tablet to manage your jobs, to specialist electrical testing and appliance repair tools, a van and fuel card.
Important: You will need to hold a full, valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points Benefits: - 20 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays - Pension scheme (Nest) - 40 hrs per week - Provided with tablet, Van, fuel card, uniform, tooling & safety equipment - Full training provided - Bonus scheme available to increase earnings Salary £24,000 per annum No experience in White Goods repair (washing machines, dishwashers, Fridge/freezers, cookers, microwaves) is needed as full training will be given, however we are looking for candidates with a background/interest in practical/hands on roles with skills that can be transferred into this role.
Electrical and/or ACS gas qualifications would be advantageous but are not essential.
