Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task with the pre-set work.
Key Responsibilities: Supervising and managing the behaviour of students in the classroom.
Delivering pre-prepared lessons and resources left by the absent teacher.
Assisting students with their work and responding to any questions.
Ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
Reporting back to the absent teacher on the progress of the lesson and any issues that arose.
Adhering to the school's policies and procedures, including those relating to safeguarding and child protection.
Requirements: Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in different subject areas.
A proactive and positive approach to supporting students' learning.
A commitment to the ethos and values of the school.
Desirable: A degree or relevant qualification.
Experience in a similar role.
