About the Role The firm is seeking to recruit a Corporate/Real Estate Tax Solicitor with 8+ years PQE to join its Oxford office.
The role involves providing high-level tax advice on corporate and real estate transactions, such as: Advising on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, and restructuring Providing expertise in SDLT, VAT, and employment tax matters Offering strategic advice on corporate transactions, exit strategies, and offshore structuring Supporting on tax issues in property transactions and fund structuring Collaborating with colleagues in the Private Wealth Trusts, Estates, and Tax teams to provide holistic advice Mentoring and supporting junior team members Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality corporate and real estate tax advice, ensuring exceptional client service.
Manage complex tax matters related to corporate transactions and real estate deals.
Provide strategic guidance on SDLT, VAT, and employment tax issues.
Contribute to business development efforts and drive the growth of the tax practice.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across offices to offer seamless advice to clients.
Mentor junior members of the team, fostering a supportive and inclusive culture.
Oversee financial management of client matters, including billing, WIP management, and meeting financial targets.
Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate will have: 8+ years PQE in corporate or real estate tax law, ideally from a top-tier regional or City law firm Experience with the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, and real estate transactions Knowledge of SDLT, VAT, and employment tax matters Strong commercial acumen and ability to provide pragmatic, client-focused solutions A proactive approach to business development and client relationship building Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting A demonstrated commitment to ongoing personal and professional development Why Join This Firm?
