* The Opportunity * We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our permanent team.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality psychiatric care within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping patient care and contributing to the ongoing success of our services.
* Role Responsibilities * Provide high quality clinical care for patients referred to and using the services of the hospital.
Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure clients receive a holistic and person-centric care and treatment programme based on the recovery model.
Take clinical responsibility for patients, including multidisciplinary ward rounds and risk reviews.
Provide expert psychiatric assessments and treatment for a diverse patient population.
Lead and manage patient care within your specialty, ensuring the highest standards of care.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, therapists, and nursing staff.
Engage in clinical governance and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in on-call rotations, ensuring continuous high-quality care.
Foster relationships with external stakeholders and maintain a network of professional contacts.
Ensure compliance with all relevant clinical guidelines and regulatory standards.
Commit to ongoing professional development and meet Revalidation requirements.
* Candidate Profile * Full GMC registration with specialist registration in psychiatry.
Extensive experience in Forensic psychiatry.
Strong knowledge of Clinical Governance and adherence to regulatory frameworks.
Successful completion of an enhanced DBS check, provided by Suttons Manor.
The post holder will hold a CCST / CCT (or equivalent) in the relevant areas of Psychiatry and will have experience of working in inpatient settings with people with significant mental health difficulties.
Ability to work autonomously and understand the impact of actions on patient care.
Problem-solving skills based on systemic knowledge and experience.
