Consultant Psychiatrist – Part Time – Male Prison Hours: 24hrs over 3 days (must include a Monday and Tuesday) Location: Doncaster Salary: £160,000 - £180,000 DOE *Must be a GMC registered Consultant Psychiatrist* Remit Compass Associates is proudly working with the UK's leading healthcare provider within secure environments, to recruit a part-time permanent Consultant Psychiatrist.
You will be based at a Category C/D prison in Doncaster where you'd see an average of 6-8 patients per day.
The prison provides training and resettlement for adult males who are preparing to return to the community and may have backgrounds of mental health conditions, trauma or learning disabilities.
You will be a key member of the prison's MDT where you'd work with GPs, Psychologists, Specialist Nurses, Pharmacists and ANPs.
There is also an opportunity to deliver training to healthcare professionals and prison staff, as well as be involved in audits, research and service development.

Candidate criteria: Full and clear GMC registration On the Specialist Register for General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry Section 12 Approved and AC Status Experience working in forensic/secure environments Clear enhanced DBS Interview Process Formal panel interview with the National Psychiatry Lead and Head of Healthcare, followed by a site visit.
