Consultant in Cellular Pathology 10 Programmed Activities COME & WORK WITH US IN PATHOLOGY - A PERFECT LOCATION AT THE GATEWAY TO THE HIGHLANDS, BUT CLOSE TO THE CENTRAL BELT OF SCOTLAND!
Applications are invited for a full time (10PA) consultant pathology post based in Ninewells Hospital, Dundee.

ONE CONSULTANT CELLULAR PATHOLOGIST POST An interest or commitment that sufficiently includes gastrointestinal and / or hepatobiliary pathology with a contribution to initial handling / reporting of urgent small biopsies across a subset of specialties is sought.
A contribution to diagnostic (non-cervical) cytopathology is at least desirable but depends on wider commitments.
Involvement in autopsy pathology can be accommodated for those qualified.
Other interests, including a more generalised role but with sufficient support in these areas will also be considered.

Further training towards a gradual assumption of a subspecialty focus would be supported for the right candidate.
Flexible working is supported, and EPAs available by negotiation.

We work well with, and are right next to the Department of Genetics, perfect for molecular pathology pathways.
We benefit from: A collegiate team of 15 consultants (by head count), including this role, undertaking daily consensus meetings Up to 9 specialist trainees, Significant trimming support: 1 advanced practitioner and 2 other BMSs Up to date IT, voice recognition, ongoing roll out of digital pathology, dedicated IT management support Consensual, flexible approach to rotas Strong clinical lead support for ongoing training and CPD Flexible working, with EPAs available by negotiation.

Full registration with a licence to practise with the GMC is required.
