An international Law Firm is seeking an experienced Conflicts and AML Advisor to join their dynamic team of analysts in London.
Within this role, you will ensure various compliance policies, processes and systems are implemented to a high standard.
You will work closely with senior staff in supervising, training and mentoring junior members of the team with the opportunity to have a wider impact on the firm.
This role is best suited to someone with a genuine interest in risk and compliance, supported by experience gained within a legal environment.
Extensive experience with handling conflict searches, AML enquiries and CDD would be highly beneficial to this role.
Familiarity with SRA and statutory requirements, alongside experience with Intapp would be desirable for this role but is non-essential.
Some responsibilities: Assess CDD information relative to new and existing clients/matters in adherence to AML policies and procedures Maintain and up-to-date understanding of AML and financial crime regulations Lead on the refinement of AML regulations and conflict processes, best practice in adherence to regulatory developments Mentor and train junior team members Act as a point of escalation for junior staff members in the department Ensure the team's workload is managed effectively Clear complex conflicts and AML-related issues across the matter opening process Collaborate with senior management and wider compliance-related departments to ensure policies, processes and procedures are implemented to a high standard Liaise with firmwide staff and fee earners to provide expert AML guidance The ideal candidate has exceptional analytical and interpersonal skills with a keen eye for detail and proficiency in Microsoft Offices.
The ability to manage your time and workload, whilst meeting deadlines effectively and efficiently is crucial.
